The VA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) sales reporting portal has been a troublesome portal for contractors since its inception, and not parallel to the reporting for GSA Schedule sales. Fortunately, a change is coming. VA is transitioning in 2023 toward use of the GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Sales Reporting Portal (SRP).
What is The Timeline for This Transition?
The transition is broken up into four phases. (03_VA SRP_ProjectTimeline_20230322.docx (live.com). Phase 1 and information on this project have just been released. During phase 2, VA FSS will conduct training on using the FAS SRP and develop an internal system to upload contracts to SRP. Phase 3 is expected to begin in October 2023 when the VA contracts and historical sales are uploaded in FAS SRP. By January 2024, contractors will report transactional sales and remit IFF fees to FAS SRP.
Benefits of The Transition
This transition is thrilling for VA contractors because FAS SRP is easily operated and allows for multiple negotiators to access the site. FAS SRP also allows contractors to easily report transactional sales, see their historical sales, and make amendments if necessary.
