New Mass Modifications to accommodate the new Professional Services Schedule

GSA Interact has recently announced an important update regarding necessary actions to contractors who are migrating over to the Professional Services Schedule (PSS).  As you know, the PSS is a new contracting vehicle comprised of existing schedules in hopes to provide customers and contractors with the benefits of streamlined acquisitions.

An advisory mass modification will be issued within 2-3 weeks concerning those who were affected by the new PSS change that took place between August 3rd and August 4th. This modification will help existing schedule contractors’ transition to the 00CORP schedule, which will change into the PSS schedule.

See if your contracts are affected

The mass modification is mandatory for the majority of contract holders, but there are special cases in which a firm should NOT accept the modifications it receives:

  • If the firm already had a 00CORP contract, before the migration, with an individual schedule contact affected by PSS.
  • If two FABS Schedules are held, with one of them being a set aside contract.
  • If the firm is still in the process of making the migration to 00CORP.
  • If, after the migration to 00CORP, one or more of the schedule contracts is allowed to expire or is cancelled at a later date due to existing BPAs.

Effective October 1, 2015, the subject GSA Schedule contract will convert in its entirety to the PSS.
