On December 31, the GSA released a draft RFP for a Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) intended for small business IT services-based solutions providers, including small businesses, HUBZone, and Women-Owned Small Business firms. You may view the draft RFP at https://beta.sam.gov/opp/257509b8cfe14d48beb4f71033995e0b/view
Polaris replaces Alliant II follow-on GWAC, which GSA withdrew this past summer following prolonged protest battles. Alliant II generated $3.4 billion in sales since 2018 and set to expire 30 June 2023.
As Polaris is replacing the Alliant II GWAC the focus and scope of the contract will cover the following areas: artificial intelligence (AI), distributed ledger technology (DLT), robotic process automation (RPA), and other types of emerging technologies.
The RFP is a draft document and published to elicit comments by industry small businesses in hopes of generating valuable feedback that can further refine the solicitation. Your comments are encouraged and must be submitted to Polaris@gsa.gov, using the provided response template, “Polaris Draft RFP Response Template,” by 4:00 p.m. Central Time on January 29, 2021. The template may be found at the link above.
Additionally, GSA recommends that interested parties join the Small Business GWAC Community of Interest on GSA Interact at: https://interact.gsa.gov/group/small-business-gwac-community-interest
