Wait, you can’t rest yet…
Directly on the heels of GSA Solicitation Refresh 23 comes an advanced notice for GSA Solicitation Refresh 24.
What did they miss in Refresh 23? Refresh 24 will be making some major changes to Special Item Numbers, specifically those that are small business set-asides (SBSA).
GSA will be transitioning current SBSA SINs to equivalent non-SBSA SINs and removing the SBSA designation. While this will open SIN-level SBSA opportunities to all contractors, GSA is encouraging Government buyers to create order-level set asides.
Additionally, Contractors with set-aside SINs and non-set aside SINs have had to maintain two separate contracts, this new update should fix this issue allowing full contract consolidations. This will allow modifications to add previously SBSA SINs to full and open contracts, as well.
