The Competition in Contracting Act (CICA) – Encourages the competition for the award of all types of government contracts. The purpose was to increase the number of competitors and to increase savings through lower, more competitive pricing.

The Procurement Integrity Act (PIA) – Prohibits the release of source selection and contractor bid or proposal information

Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) – Enacted to require full and fair disclosure by contractors in the conduct of negotiations with the government

The Anti-Kickback Act – Prohibits contractors and subcontractors from soliciting, accepting, or attempting to solicit or accept any kickbacks from their subcontractors

The Sherman Antitrust Act – Provides for both criminal and civil penalties against contractors who engage with bid rigging and collusive pricing

False Statements Act – Prohibits contractors and individuals from “knowingly and willfully” making statements that may support a fraudulent claim
